Shipping & Delivery within Australia & NZ
The following information is for customers who reside within Australia or New Zealand. If you reside outside of Australia or New Zealand, scroll down for international shipping & delivery information.
Which courier do you use?
Bared uses Australia Post’s eParcel service to ship all orders within Australia and New Zealand.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on orders over $150AUD!
Where do you ship to?
We ship anywhere in Australia, including Australia Post parcel lockers and post office boxes.
How long will it take to receive my parcel?
We aim to ship your order to you within two business days of receiving it. If you’ve purchased during a sale or promotion, it may take up to 10 business days for us to ship your order. After dispatch, your order will generally be delivered within five to ten business days (or a little longer if you’re in a remote area).
COVID-19 and Australia Post
As a response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Australia Post is committed to the health and safety of its staff and customers. To minimise contact between you and Australia Post, Australia Post no longer requires your signature on delivery. Rather, the Australia Post representative will record your name and sign ‘COVID-19’ on your behalf.
You will still need to be present for this to occur, but contact will be minimised by either leaving the parcel at the door until the driver or postie has left the premises or left for you to pick up on the counter.
Australia Post is experiencing significant delays as a consequence in the reduction of available commercial flights between Australia capital cities. This has resulted in Australia Post temporarily suspending its express post guarantee of next day delivery as they are unable to commit to this timeframe.
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes! Express shipping is available at checkout for an additional $15AUD. If you order by midday, your order will be sent same day. Australia Post guarantees next day delivery with certain metropolitan areas. To find out if you’re located within the express post network, click here.
If you’re located outside of the express post network, express post items will be delivered as fast as possible using existing transport links.
Please note that express shipping is unavailable during sale and promotional periods.
Do you offer in-store pick-up?
Yes! You can select your preferred store pick-up location when making a purchase via our website. We’ll aim to get your order to your preferred pick-up location within two business days. We’ll call you when your order is available for collection.

Will I receive tracking details with my order?
Yes. We’ll send you tracking updates via email to advise you when your order has been printed, dispatched, is in transit, is on-board for delivery and has been delivered. We hope your new Bared shoes are perfect for you.
Do you ship on weekends? What about Public Holidays?
Orders leave all of our location’s weekdays at around 3pm, excluding Victorian Public Holidays.
What if I’m not home to accept my delivery?
All orders are sent using Australia Post’s signature on delivery service. If you are unavailable at the time of delivery, an AusPost representative will leave a card for you detailing instructions on pickup from your nearest post office. The post office will hold your order for ten business days. If you haven’t collected your order within that time, it will be returned to us.
I need to change the delivery details on my order, help!
If your order has not been dispatched yet, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, call +613 9509 5771 or live chat with us so that we can amend any delivery details prior to dispatch.
If your order has been dispatched, you can submit a redirection request via your Australia Post or New Zealand Post account. If you get stuck, please get in touch via email, phone or live chat.
I’ve only received half of my delivery.
If you’ve only received half of your order, don’t panic! If you ordered multiple items your shoes may be shipped separately and at different times, depending on the location of stock. Please allow a couple of extra days for your second pair to arrive, before you start to panic.
I think my order has been lost, help!
If your order has been delivered and signed for, yet it is not your signature on the proof of delivery document, please email us at email@example.com so that we can lodge an investigation with Australia Post and ascertain the whereabouts of your parcel. You will be able to find your tracking details in the email you received when your order was dispatched.
If there have been no physical scans on your order for more than five business days, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can lodge an investigation with Australia Post to ascertain the whereabouts of your parcel.
Please note that during peak times of traffic (e.g. Boxing Day or Black Friday sales) or service disruption (e.g. strikes or natural disasters) scanning and updates may be reduced.
Are Australia Post deliveries Carbon Neutral?
Did you know that Australia Post deliveries are carbon neutral? Australia Post purchases carbon credits, mostly in Australia, when customers regularly send parcels through AusPost post offices or book parcel pickups via their MyPost Business Account (like Bared do!). The purchase of these carbon credits aids in achieving carbon neutrality.
Carbon credits are a permit that allows the holding company to emit a certain amount of CO2 or greenhouse gases. One credit permits the emission of a mass equal to one ton of carbon dioxide.
Australia Post is dedicated to reducing emissions from their operations where possible. They have cut their carbon emissions by over 20% since 2010 and have increased the use of electric bikes and vehicles among their delivery drivers.
My order total is $149 and I’m unhappy I have to pay $15 shipping, what can you do?
As much as we’d love to waive shipping costs for orders under $150, as a small business, we have to draw the line somewhere. Check out our shoe care leather care accessory options if you want to top up your order total and waive the shipping fee.

Yes! We ship to New Zealand via Australia Post’s eParcel service. Scroll up for more information.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! We ship anywhere in the world using DHL Express On Demand Delivery.
How much does it cost to ship internationally?
International shipping is free on orders over $150AUD.
How long will it take for you to ship my order?
We’ll generally have your order on its way within two business days (or a little longer during sale and promotional periods).
Do I have to pay import taxes?
Import taxes & duties are not covered in the purchase price of your order. Some countries require payment of import taxes & duties to release the goods into your country. DHL will send an email notification advising that import taxes are to be paid and will direct you to where you can make payment. Once payment has been made, your order will be to you within five business days.
Please check your country’s import taxes & duties prior to placing your order, as Bared cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred. Import taxes & duties calculators are readily available on the web.
Do I have to pay return shipping costs?
Yes. If you are wanting to return your order, all international return shipping costs are to be paid by you.
If you would like us to obtain a return shipping quote through DHL on your behalf, please email us at email@example.com.
We understand that international return shipping doesn’t come cheap. To help, we now subsidise the cost in selected countries and offer flat rate returns with DHL. See below:
- USA and Canada: $55AUD;
- Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore: $45
The cost of your return will be deducted from your refund or store credit. To arrange this, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and the shoes you wish to return – we’ll email you back with the information.
Do you ship to the UK?
Yes. We do ship to the UK. We ask that customers get in contact with us directly to place their order. This is because import taxes & duties to receive goods into the UK can be quite expensive. Unfortunately, Bared cannot be held responsible for these costs.
If you’d like to go ahead with you order, please email email@example.com with your name, email address, telephone number, postal address and PayPal email. We’ll finalise your order and get your new Bared kicks on their way to you ASAP.
Do you ship to Russia?
Unfortunately, due to laws and regulations, we are unable to ship to Russia.
