Wow! We are absolutely blown away by the response of our sneaker collaboration with Aboriginal contemporary artist, Lakkari Pitt.
A proud Gamilaroi Ularoi/Yuwaalaraay yinarr (woman), Lakkari’s art is a take on the knowledge that her Elders passed down through generations. After a busy few weeks, we have completely sold out of the limited-edition style and donated an incredible $15,000 to our long-standing partners, Children’s Ground.
An organisation that supports our First Nations peoples by building on the social, cultural, and economic capital of each community they work in. Since our first collaboration with Christinaray Weetra, we have donated a total of $52,250.
Guided by local Elders, our support has provided primary education for children, enabled social and emotional counselling and integrated health lessons into learning activities.
We are so grateful to everyone who purchased a pair, with your help Children’s Ground can continue to end injustice and disadvantage in indigenous communities.
